NATCHEZ - Jefferson Street United Methodist church was the setting for the evening wedding of Miss Helen Faye Junkin and Edward Stuart Hudnall of Atlanta, Ga. Parents of the couple are Frank Kaiser Junkin and Mrs. Helen Harrison Junkin and Mr. and Mrs. Smylie Hudnall.
The Rev. W. F. Whaley, pastor of Broadmeadow United Methodist church in Jackson, officiated at the ceremony before an altar banked with greenery, white flowers and candelabra. The altar table was centered with a Bible. Music was presented by Malcom Graham, Marian Frances of Jackson, soloists, and Dick Mullins, organist.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ivory silk organza with Swiss embroidery and Brussels lace featuring a raised waistline and chapel-length heirloom mantilla of Brussels lace and carried butterfly roses and pompoms. She wore an antique crescent diamond pin belonging to her great-grandmother.
Attending her sister as maid of honor was Miss Ellen Anne Junkin and Mrs. Kaye Junkin Schloemer was her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Frank Junkin Jr., sister-in-law of the bride; Mrs. Ron Tew, sister of the bridegroom; Miss Janice Tew [sic] of Vidalia, La., niece of the bridegroom, Miss Mel Maxwell of Memphis, Tenn., Miss Paula Crouch, Mrs. Scott Lawyer of Montgomery, Ala., Mrs. Ronny Rogers of Columbia, S.C., and Mrs. John Walton of Bruce.
The attendants wore gowns of blue chiffon with ivory Val lace on the raised bodices featuring tiered skirts. They wore fresh flowers in their hair and carried matching flowers.
Miss Stephanie Junkin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank K. Junkin Jr. and Miss Courtney Schloemer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brack Schloemer, nieces of the bride, were the flower girls.
Harry Hudnall attended his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Ray Hudnall, brother of the bridegroom; Ron Tew, nephew of the bridegroom, Frank K. Junkin Jr., brother of the bride; Brack Schloemer, brother-in-law of the bride; Kenny Hathaway, cousin of the bride; Ron Klosterman of Atlanta, Ga., Bill Garrett of Atlanta, Ga., Donald Estes, Neumie Roberts of Homewood, Ala., and Elven Dykes.
Mrs. Junkin chose for her daughter’s wedding a gray chiffon gown with a tiered skirt accented with rhinestones. The mother of the bridegroom selected a gown of aqua chiffon with sheer sleeves.
The Reception was held at Stanton Hall following the ceremony.
For traveling to the Ozarks, the bride chose a camel gabardine ensemble with a hand embroidered beige eyelet blouse.
The couple will make their home in Atlanta, Ga.
